Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research (LISER) and Musée vun der Aarbecht (Museum of Labour - MUAR) have announced the exhibition “Temps de trajet – Mobilités au quotidien” (“Travel Time – Everyday Mobility”), which will be open to the public from Thursday 24 September to Friday 30 October 2026 in the entrance hall of the Maison des Sciences Humaines in Esch-Belval.
Jessica Lopes and Charl Vinz created the exhibition, which MUAR organises in partnership with LISER. The institute contributes a scientific perspective on everyday mobility.
Ahead of the public opening, a round table on everyday mobility and a vernissage will take place on Wednesday 23 September 2026 at the Maison des Sciences Humaines. The round table will begin at 16:00, followed by the exhibition opening at 17:30. Prior registration is required, with further information and registration available via the MUAR website.
Jessica Lopes is a sociologist and author of Temps de Trajet, a project combining elements of a graphic novel and an illustrated essay. Charl Vinz is the illustrator and co-creator of the exhibition.
The exhibition focuses on everyday mobility and travel time, bringing together artistic and scientific perspectives on the way people move in their daily lives. LISER researchers associated with the project contribute expertise on mobility behaviour, travel surveys and the links between mobility and health.
The exhibition will be open to the public from Monday to Friday, from 10:00 to 17:00.
