Think Pink Luxembourg (ThinkPinkLux) Asbl has announced that its annual Race for the Cure will take place at Echternach Lake on Sunday 18 October 2026, raising funds for breast cancer research at the Luxembourg Institute of Health (LIH).
Race for the Cure is a major sporting event for women's health in Europe. It helps breast cancer organisations and hospitals collect funds and raise awareness.
The event will feature a 5 km run and a 3 km walk. The registration stand will open at 09:00, followed by other stands at 09:15. Think Pink Luxembourg and the Mayor of Echternach Carole Hartmann will officially welcome participants at 10:00, before a warm-up session at 10:15.
The first participants will set off at 10:30, with departures continuing until 11:30, while a cool-down and stretching session is scheduled for 11:45.
The event is open to everyone, with participants encouraged to bring family members, friends and colleagues. Dogs are also welcome.
