The Luxembourg Centre for Architecture (LUCA) has announced it will host a family sketching workshop, titled ‘Vanishing Point’, at 15:00 on Saturday 25 July 2026, at its premises in Luxembourg-Clausen.
The one hour event will ask “What if a simple pencil stroke could change the way we look at architecture?”and, starting from the models, sketches, drawings, plans and images presented in the exhibition dedicated to the Luxembourg Architecture Award 2026 (LAA), attendees will discover how architects imagine, develop and represent their projects.
LUCA notes that since the Renaissance perspective drawing has transformed the way we represent spaces by giving depth to images and this workshop will experiment with a few simple principles of perspective thanks to a playful device accessible to all.
No drawing experience is necessary - the sketch here becomes a tool for observing, understanding volumes and exploring spaces differently - and the workshop is extended by a friendly moment to share the drawings, exchange around the exhibition and continue the discovery together.
Organised as part of the exhibition "Luxembourg Architecture Award. The stories behind the projects”, the event will take place in French and English and is open to families and children (under 6 years old must be accompanied by an adult).
Tickets cost €5 and are free to Kulturpass holders (on request to office@luca.lu)
Registration is mandatory and places are limited.
