Malnutrition, the tendency of obesity and lack of exercise are issues that affect youth today.

Under the National Action Plan "Gesond iessen, méi bewegen" and to address this situation, the Service national de la jeunesse / National Youth Service (SNJ) has developed an unusual concept: the "Freestyle Tour."

Supported by its partners, Cactus and the National Sporting and Cultural Centre at the Coque, the SNJ is organising this year for the fifth time the project "Freestyle Tour." As its name suggests, the "Freestyle Tour" does not offer classic sports, but urban activities such as Longboard, Inlineskates, Freestyle Soccer, Breakdance / Hip Hop and also Capoeira. The goal of this tour is to introduce students to physical activity and a balanced diet that go hand in hand.

From January to mid-February 2013, the "Freestyle-Crew," a group of young Freestylers formed by the National Youth Service, is "on tour" to various places in the north, centre and south of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The students are invited to participate during a day of workshops and freestyle sports to discover information about a balanced lifestyle.
