The journalist and writer Igiaba Scego is described as "One hundred percent Italian and one hundred percent Somalia", the "composite identity" and "second-generation writer".

Igiaba Scego was born in Rome in 1974 to Somalian parents who had fled the dictatorship of Siad Barre.

The event will be held in Italian with French translation. It is being organised by Time For Equality in collaboration with the Italian Bookshop in Luxembourg-Grund.
