On Wednesday 20 May 2026, Buchfink Verlag announced that it hosted a press presentation or its new illustrated family book, Wimmelbuch Luxembourg (seek and find in Luxembourg) at the Librairie Ernster in Luxembourg-Ville.
Officially released to the public from Thursday 21 May 2026, the book invites readers to discover the Grand Duchy through detailed scenes showcasing Luxembourg’s diversity, traditions and landmarks.
Combining playful storytelling with cultural and regional perspectives, the book features well-known locations ranging from Luxembourg City and its squares to the Müllerthal region, often referred to as “little Luxembourg Switzerland”, as well as traditions such as the Schueberfouer and landmarks including Vianden Castle.
Published by Buchfink Verlag and created by Luxembourg author and illustrator Ricco Martini, the book uses what organisers described as a lively visual language aimed at encouraging both children and adults to explore the country.
Ricco Martini said: “The Wimmelbuch Luxembourg is a declaration of love for my home country, its people, places and traditions. I hope that with this book and its characters I can make a small contribution to our cultural richness.”
He added that the collaboration with Buchfink Verlag gave him considerable creative freedom both in the concept and execution of the project.
One notable aspect of the book is the inclusion of several Luxembourg personalities, including Léa Linster, who appears alongside her son Louis. According to the organisers, she represents Luxembourg gastronomy, originality and excellence recognised far beyond the country’s borders.
Léa Linster, who has also served for ten years as founding member and president of nestwärme Luxembourg, said she was delighted to appear in the book together with her son.
She added: “The artist Ricco Martini illustrated the madeleines so beautifully that you can almost smell them.”
Dirk Hense, Vice-President of nestwärme Luxembourg, explained that Léa Linster was an obvious choice for inclusion in the book because of both her contribution to gastronomy and her long-standing commitment to supporting families with seriously ill children.
Ricco Martini studied graphic design at the University of the Arts London and painting at the Barcelona Academy of Art before returning to Luxembourg, where he now develops humorous and highly detailed illustrated worlds with a strong narrative focus.
Buchfink Verlag specialises in carefully designed books connected to the Germany-Luxembourg-France border region for children and adults. The publishing house also operates the children’s bookshop “Der kleine Buchfink” in Trier, Germany.
