On Tuesday 26 January 2021, Arendt announced the appointment of three new Partners, as follows:
Gregory C. Beltrame is a Partner in the Private Equity & Real Estate practice of Arendt & Medernach and Head of the Paris Office. He primarily specialises in investment funds, advising domestic and international clients on the corporate and regulatory aspects of creating, structuring and operating regulated and unregulated investment fund vehicles. He represents and supports sponsors and investors in connection with their investments in different types of alternative assets, including private equity, real estate, venture, infrastructure and debt. He also has expertise in secondary transactions, regulatory matters and restructuring of private equity groups.
In addition, Gregory works in the structuring of international transactions, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, joint ventures and group restructuring initiatives, securities regulations, as well as banking and finance matters. Gregory is a member of the bar associations of Paris (2009) and Luxembourg (2010 – Avocat à la Cour). Previously, he spent several years working as a lawyer for major international firms in Paris, Luxembourg and the US. He was seconded to the New York office of the Benelux firm Loyens & Loeff for two years, where he co-represented the Luxembourg corporate practice as a senior associate and provided advice to US, Canadian and South American clients in corporate law, corporate finance, private equity, mergers and acquisitions and real estate. Gregory graduated from HEC Paris with a master’s degree in Business Law and International Management. He also holds a master’s degree in Law from the Université Paris X Nanterre. Gregory is a member of the Board of Directors of the Business Club France-Luxembourg. Languages: English, French, Italian, reading knowledge of German.
Yann Fihey is a Partner and a member of the Management Committee of Arendt Regulatory & Consulting. Yann started his career in 2001 in the Financial Services practice of the Luxembourg branch of an international strategy and consulting company, where he acquired business and IT expertise in the retail, private banking and fund administration industries. He spearheaded several initiatives to automate back office operations dealing with funds, derivatives, bonds and other securities, alongside corporate events. He was also involved in the strategic review and selection of private banking packages, the set-up of financial risk modelling and analytic systems, and fund migration projects to ensure operational readiness for fund administration and custodian activities.
In 2008, he joined the investor services department of a North American bank, where he deepened his fund industry expertise. During this time he managed cross-border projects covering custodian, fund administration and transfer agent activities, and participated in the creation of the bank’s hedge fund accounting unit. He also implemented the FATCA programme in 13 jurisdictions of its investor services group. After joining Arendt Regulatory & Consulting in 2013, Yann put together a regulatory reporting team servicing fund managers and vehicles subject to Luxembourg and EU reporting obligations, with a particular focus on FATCA, CRS and AIFMD Annex IV returns. He also developed a specialisation in regulatory matters applicable to fund depositaries. At Arendt, Yann is involved in the implementation of digital solutions and the creation of new services. Yann is a graduate of EDHEC Business School (France). Languages: English, French, Spanish.
Corinne Prinz is a Partner in the Investment Management practice of Arendt & Medernach. She specialises in regulated and unregulated investment funds, including real estate and private equity funds. She primarily advises clients on the regulatory, corporate and organisational aspects of the formation, structuring, re-structuring, marketing and ongoing operations of investment funds. Corinne focuses on undertakings for collective investment in transferable securities (UCITS) and alternative investment funds and their managers under the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD). She specialises in UCITS KIIDs and PRIIPs KIDs. Further areas of expertise include fund governance and compliance.
Corinne is a member of the PRIIPs KID and UCITS KIID working groups of the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI). She has been a member of the Koblenz Bar (Germany) since 2011 and has been admitted by the Luxembourg Bar to practice in Luxembourg under her German professional title. Corinne studied law in Trier (Germany). She is a German qualified attorney and holds the German first (2008) and second (2010) State examinations in law. Prior to joining Arendt & Medernach, Corinne worked for two top-tier international law firms in Düsseldorf and Luxembourg. She was awarded “Star” status in 2018 by the independent rating agency Acritas, and has been nominated by clients as one of the most outstanding lawyers with whom they have worked.
