ING Luxembourg has announced that Peter Vandekerckhove has been appointed Non-Executive Independent Director and chair of the Board of Directors of the bank; he succeeds Peter Adams, CEO of ING Belgium, who will remain on the Board as Non-Executive Director.
The announcement follows the approval by the supervisory authorities of the nomination.
After leading MeesPierson for four years, Peter became a member of the Board and the Management Board and, following the acquisition of the group, he became CEO of BNPParibas Fortis Retail and Private Banking in Belgium. In 2011 he was appointed board member of AG Insurance and BNPParibas Asset Management and in 2018 he became CEO and board member of KBL epb (nowadays Quintet) in Luxembourg.
Peter is currently a member of the board at Beaulieu International Group, Capital at Work Group and Unibreda.
