Maples and Calder, the Maples Group's law firm, has announced that it has made another significant appointment to its Luxembourg law firm with the appointment of Michelle Barry as a Partner in the firm's Funds & Investment Management practice.
Ms Barry has been with the firm for over three years and advises clients on a wide variety of legal, regulatory and compliance matters, with a particular focus on the structuring, establishment, ongoing operation and regulation of all forms of Luxembourg domiciled investment funds (including private equity and private debt funds). Her experience also includes acting for a wide range of fund service providers, including investment managers, administrators, depositaries, management companies and AIFMs.

Ms Barry's appointment is effective immediately and is part of the law firm's annual global promotions which included the appointment of seventeen new Partners and Counsels across seven of the firm's practices, two promotions in Asia, nine promotions in Europe and six in the Caribbean region.
The Maples Group has been established in Luxembourg since 2007, offering fund and fiduciary services initially and later adding legal services to its offering.
