The Country Leadership Committee of EY Luxembourg has announced the appointment of José-Benjamin Longrée to Partner as Managed Services Leader and a member of the Country Leadership Committee.

Commenting on this new arrival, Olivier Coekelbergs, Managing Partner of EY Luxembourg, stated: “We are delighted to welcome José-Benjamin. Managed services is at the heart of our strategy. We have a clear commitment to increasing the role of technology in all our services and José-Benjamin's arrival marks a step forward in these areas and in Managed Services. One of his roles will be to strengthen this team, to make it grow, to make it even stronger and more important".

José-Benjamin Longrée has been with PwC Luxembourg for the last nine years. During this time, he served as Global Fund Distribution Leader, then as Clients and Markets Leader and as Global Managed Services Leader within the Global Asset and Wealth Management Leadership Team. He has more than 25 years of experience in the fund industry. He started his career as a lawyer and held various positions within Credit Agricole Indosuez and Credit Agricole Investor Services. In 2006, he was appointed CEO of CACEIS Bank Luxembourg and in 2010 became Deputy CEO of the CACEIS Group where he was then chairing both boards of the French and Luxembourgish Depositary banks. In 2011, he joined Citi as Managing Director, where he was in charge of developing the Investor Services Business in EMEA. 

José-Benjamin Longrée holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Liège in Belgium and a Master’s degree in Law from the University of East Anglia in Norwich (United Kingdom). He used to serve as a member of the CSSF’s "Comité OPC". He was also a member of ALFI’s and of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange’s (LuxSE) Board of Directors.

Mr Longrée is passionate about teams and clients. He believes that both leadership and meticulously chosen groups are the recipes for success. His objectives for the coming months will be to further build on the solid basis that already exists at EY, a fully operational Managed Services platform based on the three layers of data, delivery and front-end.
