The Board of Directors of the INDR, the national institute for sustainable development and corporate responsibility, has unanimously appointed Marc Lauer as President of the INDR.

Marc Lauer holds a bachelor's degree in actuarial science as well as a bachelor's degree in economics from the Université libre de Bruxelles. He sits as an effective member of the Plenary Assembly of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce and is Chairman of the Board of Directors of ACA, the association of insurance and reinsurance companies in Luxembourg.

He succeeds Nicolas Buck, who for two years chaired the UEL (Luxembourg private business union) and the INDR, where he has been fully committed to promoting corporate social responsibility (CSR) policies.

Marc Lauer took up his duties as the new President of the INDR on 1 January 2021. He commented: "By taking over the reins of the INDR, I will continue the work of Nicolas Buck and support the efforts of sustainable development of companies in Luxembourg".

Jean-Paul Olinger, Director of the UEL and the INDR noted: "The excellent collaboration with Nicolas Buck made it possible to continue the development of the INDR on transversal subjects and thus strengthen the promotion of CSR initiatives in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The arrival of Marc Lauer will make it possible to continue the work undertaken with a motivated team in order to support companies on CSR topics and to collaborate with the main actors of sustainable development”.

The INDR confirmed that it will continue to actively promote CSR and will support all Luxembourg companies wishing to contribute to sustainable development.
