On Wednesday 21 May 2025, Luxembourg's Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Biodiversity announced the appointment of Anne-Marie Reckinger as Deputy Director of its Water Management Authority (AGE).

Following approval by the Government Council (Cabinet) on Friday 2 May 2025, the ministry has reported she will assume her new role on Sunday 1 June 2025 and that the appointment was made on the recommendation of Minister of the Environment, Climate and Biodiversity, Serge Wilmes.

In its press release, the ministry noted that Anne-Marie Reckinger holds a master’s degree in chemistry and biology and began her career in the civil service in January 2009. Between 2011 and 2023 she worked as a project officer within the Water Management Authority, where she contributed to various environmental initiatives. In 2023, she moved to Luxembourg’s Ministry for Home Affairs.

The Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Biodiversity said: “Ms Reckinger brings considerable experience and expertise to the position. Her return to AGE is seen as a valuable asset for the continued management and protection of Luxembourg’s water resources.”
