ADEM, the national Agency for Unemployment released the figures for Luxembourg’s situation at the end of April, showing that the rate of unemployment has remained stable at 6.9%, compared to March’s figures.
The total number of people unemployed in the Grand-Duchy on 30 April fell by 330 people to 17,731 over one year – a 1.8% decrease. Based on the seasonally adjusted data, the unemployment rate rose by 0.6% from the previous month.
The number of people benefitting from full unemployment benefit was 7,104, down 5.5% from April of last year. Meanwhile, the number of people benefitting from partial unemployment benefits was 5,519 at the end of April – an increase of 11.0% in twelve months.
A total of 2,618 vacatn job positions were declared to ADEM – 265 more than during the same period last year. The number of unfilled vacancies was reported at 5,051 at the end of April.
