As part of the measures against the spread of COVID-19, music:LX and neimënster have adapted the format of the Shuffle festival, the unmissable event for the Luxembourg jazz scene.
The Luxembourg Jazz Meeting is getting a makeover this year to become Shuffle. A springboard for Luxembourg artists internationally, this festival is a showcase for jazz musicians who share the bill with foreign groups invited as part of artistic exchanges.
Traditionally open to the public and professionals in the music industry, Shuffle has seen its course turned upside down this year by the health measures taken as part of the fight against the spread of COVID-19. Measures taken in neighbouring countries have also forced artists to postpone their arrival, as was the case for Austrian saxophonist Muriel Grossmann.
Despite these restrictions, music: LX and neimënster have adapted the format initially planned to allow artists to perform in front of the public. From 27 to 29 November 2020, the trainings will take place in sessions of two. To ensure the professional aspect of the event and allow the promotion of a talented music scene to professionals abroad, video recordings of live performances will be set up by music:LX.
The price to attend the recordings is €5 per session of two concerts. The doors will open to the public 30 minutes before the start of each session.
The sessions will be held in Salle Robert Krieps in Neumünster Abbey. Attendance is by reservation only, subject to availability. For further information, see: www.neimenster.lu/en/Culture/Diversified-offer/Cultural-programming/Music/Shuffle-Set.
