The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan have announced that the seventh World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan from Tuesday 27 to Thursday 29 October 2026, at the Baku Convention Centre.
Organised by the ministry, the forum is held within the “Baku Process”, a global initiative aimed at promoting intercultural dialogue, understanding and harmony in and between diverse cultures.
2026 marks the 15th anniversary of the forum, which the ministry described as “a milestone reaffirming Azerbaijan's enduring commitment to advancing intercultural understanding within the framework of the Baku Process”.
This event was the first of its kind to bring together the ministers of culture of the Council of Europe and the ministers of culture of a number of Muslim countries, marking a major step in the development of dialogue and mutual understanding in the globalised world.
Convened in partnership with UNESCO, UNAOC, ICESCO and UN Tourism, the seventh edition of the forum will bring together heads of international organisations, ministers, parliamentarians, religious leaders, scholars, youth representatives and civil society actors from across the globe.
The programme will feature an opening ceremony at Gulustan Palace, a ministerial meeting on Intercultural Dialogue, a high-level meeting of International Organisations, the Global Youth Forum, the Global Entrepreneurs' Dialogue, the Academic Forum on Intercultural and Interreligious Dialogue, as well as other plenary and panel sessions.
