Luxembourg life assurance specialist OneLife has announced the death of its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Antonio Corpas.

According to a statement issued by OneLife, Antonio Corpas passed away on Saturday 7 January 2023, at the age of 54, following an accident in December 2022.

Mr Corpas joined OneLife in 2008 as Head of Tax & Legal and Group General Counsel, bringing with him extensive experience as a qualified lawyer and legal counsel on an international level. According to OneLife, he "contributed significantly to the repositioning of OneLife thanks to his international profile, technical skills and business-oriented approach." He became CEO of the company in 2018.

"All our thoughts are with his family and his friends," OneLife stated in light of the news of Mr Corpas' death. "The whole OneLife team is united in this very sad time."

From an operational perspective, OneLife had implemented a business continuity plan following Mr Corpas' accident in late December 2022. Elio Fratini was appointed CEO ad interim. This organisation will continue in the following weeks to ensure "seamless continuity" of OneLife's activities and services delivery.
