Chronicle.lu recently had the opportunity to speak with Julien Jenoudet, CEO of BoardiGO SA, about this Luxembourg-based startup that digitises board management processes.

This article forms part of a series of interviews about "newcomers" (i.e. new startups) hosted at the Luxembourg House of Financial Technology (LHoFT), where BoardiGO (founded in 2021 by a team of serial entrepreneurs) has been present since 2022. Note that "newcomers" include startups that have joined the LHoFT since 1 January 2022.

Chronicle.lu: Please introduce your company and the products/services it offers.

Julien Jenoudet: BoardiGO is a secure and user-friendly application for managing boards available on both web and mobile platforms. It simplifies the board management process, making it more efficient and straightforward to keep track of activities. The platform's embedded e-signature feature ensures the legality of votes and signatures and is compliant with eIDAS [an EU regulation on electronic identification and trust services]. If you want to move your boards and executive committees online, BoardiGO is the most complete software-as-a-service solution available.

Chronicle.lu: What led to the creation of your company?

Julien Jenoudet: The problem lies in the fact that governance is a crucial driver of performance and a significant component of ESG [environmental, social and governance]. However, many governance-related tasks are still executed manually, which can potentially lead to a lack of productivity and compliance. The primary cause [of] this issue is the absence of a comprehensive solution that can help corporate secretaries and board members digitise their governance practices securely and efficiently. Consequently, several organisations are facing challenges in optimising their governance processes, which may result in inefficiencies, errors and possible compliance issues.
