The website "Meet an entrepreneur", managed by nyuko asbl, recently launched in Luxembourg.

The website aims to meet the needs of local entrepreneurs, allowing them to profit from the advice of their peers who may have been through the same steps as well as from a place to share and discuss.

Managed by nyuko asbl, an association of idea challengers who help project holders to get from a business idea to a proper business launch, "Meet an entrepreneur" is the outcome of several years of discussion with future and young entrepreneurs. It has three objectives: allow project holders to profit from the experience and advice of entrepreneurs whose businesses are thriving, spread the word in a clear and concise manner about the different initiatives that can help them in their journey and finally, offer them an online community to share and receive support.

The website primarily features short videos that are easily searchable thanks to a system of tags and a search engine, but also articles written by experts. The associated Facebook page complements this information with links to other content and events. Both pages are available in French and English and are updated every week with new discussion topics.

Lucile Barberet, in charge of the project, explained: “We hope that this initiative will become a proper knowledge-base for entrepreneurship in Luxembourg, and that entrepreneurs will feel invited to share their questions, their doubts and their successes.

Indeed, the goal is to show not only the largest successes; instead, the emphasis is placed on the diversity of the profiles, the businesses and the sectors. From the small corner shop to the first independent media company in the Grand-Duchy, all businesses have their place on the platform. The tone is informal and the answers straightforward. The platform is open to all future and young entrepreneurs and to anyone who may be curious about or interested in entrepreneurship.
