On Friday 13 December 2024, Luxembourg's LCGB trade union signed a new collective labour agreement for the transport and logistics sector with the employers' federation "Groupement Transport".

According to LCGB, the agreement applies to mobile staff and sedentary technical staff of Luxembourg companies specialising in the transport of goods by motor vehicles, removals, courier/express mail, warehousing, chartering and logistics.

The LCGB reported that it was able to obtain the following improvements after a year of negotiations on the sectoral collective agreement, which has not been renewed for almost thirteen years:
- an average salary increase of 2.5% across all scales;
- the introduction of a monthly bonus of €50 gross for drivers for the transport of dangerous goods;
- an adaptation of travel expenses, overnight allowance and mileage allowances up to the maximum tax-deductible amount according to the tax administration scales;
- the inclusion of continuing education during working hours.

This new collective agreement will apply from Wednesday 1 January 2025 for a period of 24 months and will cover nearly 12,000 people working in this sector.
