The Union Luxembourgeoise de Patinage de Vitesse (Luxembourg Speed Skating Union - ULPV) has reported the results of recent competitions involving the club’s short speed skaters.

Short track speed skating sees participants compete in 500m, 1000m, 1500m and 3000m distances on ice with a mass start. There is a 5000m relay for men, a 3000m relay for women and a mixed race.

ULPV announced that skaters recently competed in Milan (Italy), Hasselt (Belgium), Calgary (Canada), Leeuwarden (Netherlands) and Tilburg (Netherlands). 

The results, including Personal Bests (PB), were as follows:

- Peter Murphy, ISU World Tour 6 in Milan: 41st in 500m; 50th in 1000m; 42nd in 1500m; Challenger Series in Leeurwarden: 8th in 500m; 18th in 1000m;

- Julie Kiesgen, ISU World Junior Championships in Calgary: 55th in 500m with 48.874 (PB); 51st in 1000m with 1:40.075 (PB); Western Elite Circuit 2 in Calgary: overall 16th;

- Chloé Ska, Benelux Cup in Tilburg: overall 8th; 500m, 57.66 (PB); 1500m, 3:39.24 (PB);

- Sidoine Conesa, Speculaas Cup in Hasselt: overall 22nd; Benelux Cup in Tilburg: overall 2nd in 500m, 47.04 (PB);

- Elias Castan, Benelux Cup in Tilburg: overall 5th; 333m, 37.20 (PB);500m, 54.66 (PB); 777m, 1:27.66 (PB);

- Marco Kiesgen, Speculaas Cup in Hasselt: overall 11th; Benelux Cup in Tilburg: overall 9th.

ULPV skaters are due to compete at the ISU World Championships in Beijing (China), the National League Benelux Cup in Deurne (Belgium) and the Masters International ST Games in Drummondville (Canada).

The Luxembourg National Championships will take place on Sunday 30 March 2025 at the Kockelscheuer Ice Rink, starting at 14:00.
