The Union Luxembourgeoise de Patinage de Vitesse (ULPV) has reported that it recently sent three of its skaters to compete in the Netherlands.

Two Luxembourg skaters took part in the Lara van Ruijven Memorial competition in The Hague from Saturday 30 September to Sunday 1 October 2023. Sidoine Conesa secured new personal bests and placed 14th overall in the Men Junior C, whilst Marco Kiesgen came 3rd in the Men Master.

At the same time, Peter Murphy took part in the Dutch Open competition in Heerenveen, finishing 26th overall.

The ULPV also announced the arrival of a new coach: Artur Senchzuk began training the skaters a few weeks ago.

There are also two new training slots for skaters at Kockelscheuer Ice Rink, on Monday evenings (18:00-21:00) and Thursday mornings (06:00-07:45).

Upcoming competitions include: the ninth Trophée du Grand Lion in Belfort (France) from Saturday 14 to Sunday 15 October 2023; the ISU World Cup 1 and ISU World Cup 2 in Montreal (Canada) from Friday 20 to Sunday 22 October and from Friday 27 to Sunday 29 October 2023, respectively; the Beneluxcup 1 in Tilburg (Netherlands) on Sunday 26 November 2023.
