The Luxembourg Golf Federation (Fédération Luxembourgeoise de Golf - FLG) has reported a positive 2025 season, highlighted by the eleventh-place finish of the women’s team from Golf-Club Grand-Ducal at the European Ladies’ Club Trophy, held in Slovakia from Thursday 2 to Saturday 4 October 2025.

According to the FLG, the team coached by Julien Pailler finished just two strokes short of the top ten at the continental championship for club champions, which took place at the Green Resort Hrubá Borša course. Ella Miserini delivered a particularly strong performance, posting consistent rounds of 78, 72 and 72 to finish ninth in the individual standings among 54 European competitors.

Marie Baertz, the regular leader of the Grand-Ducal women’s team, did not take part in the event due to her commitments with the University of Dallas team in the US university championship. The title went to the German team Sankt Leon-Rot, which claimed its sixth European victory.

Two of the Grand-Ducal players, Emma Lahaije and Ella Miserini, had entered the tournament with confidence following Luxembourg’s historic victory at the European Ladies Team Shield Championship earlier in the season. This event, often referred to as the “second division” of European golf and organised by the European Golf Association (EGA), saw Luxembourg win for the first time in its history at the Pravets Golf Club in Bulgaria in July.

The FLG described this success as “the result of dedicated work by the Luxembourg team and its coaches, Leon Marks and Douglas McLean,” noting that it also reflects the federation’s growing commitment to developing young golfers and supporting high-level competition.

The federation added that the next major event will be the European Men’s Club Trophy, scheduled from Thursday 23 to Saturday 25 October 2025 in Bordeaux (France), where the men’s team of Golf-Club Grand-Ducal will represent Luxembourg after winning the national interclub championship. In the 2024 edition, the men’s team placed sixteenth out of 24 participating teams in the same competition.
