The third edition of the Car Avenue Invitational Golf Cup by Henri Leconte & Friends will take place at Golf de Luxembourg - Belenhaff in Junglinster on Tuesday 26 September 2023.
French tennis champion Henri Leconte and Golf Planet Events have teamed up once again to organise this back-to-school sporting event. Sponsored by Car Avenue, this golf event brings together about 20 friends of Henri Leconte and some 60 Luxembourg golfers invited by the event's partners for a four-person scramble game punctuated by various activities and tastings on the course.
According to the organisers, the eighteen-hole course at Golf de Luxembourg - Belenhaff is known as of the most beautiful in the country.
Henri Leconte is passionate about golf and it was during one of his visits to Eurogolf Luxembourg that the tennis champion and Golf Planet Events came up with the idea of organising a tournament in Luxembourg bringing together celebrities and golf enthusiasts. Among the personalities who will surround Henri Leconte this year are French Karate World Champion Christophe Pinna, Belgian judokate Christel Deliège, French-Moroccan rugby union player Abdelatif Benazzi, Slovak tennis player Daniela Hantuchová and Belgian actors Renaud Rutten, Freddy Tougaux and Bruno Taloche, among others.
The Car Avenue Invitational Golf Cup by Henri Leconte & Friends will once again raise money for Fondatioun Kriibskrank Kanner, a local charity which helps sick children and their families.
