Luxembourg's financial regulator, the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF), has announced a 23.59% rise in net assets held by Luxembourg-regulated mutual funds and specialised investment funds over the past 12 months to 30 June 2015.

On that date, the total assets stood at €3,528.131 billion against €3,601.525 billion as at 31 May 2015, a decrease of 2.04% over one month.

The drop of €73.394 billion was the nett result of positive net issuance up to €25.076 billion (+ 0.70%) and adverse developments in financial markets up to €-98.470 billion (-2.74%).

The number of collective investments (UCI) and specialised investment funds (SIFs) taken into consideration was unchanged at 3.901. A total of 2,535 entities have adopted an umbrella structure, which represents 12,649 sub-funds. When adding the 1,366 entities with a traditional structure, a total of 14,015 units are active in Luxembourg's financial centre.
