On Wednesday evening, three football matches played out as part of Luxembourg's National Division - the highest football league in the Grand Duchy.

Matchday 18 (out of 30) saw Swift Hesperange secure a 7-0 victory over UNA Strassen, setting the record for the biggest score and biggest difference so far in Luxembourg this season. 

Nicolas Perez scored a hat trick for Hesperange, with three goals in the 13th, 32nd and 51st minutes, while Dominik Stolz scored two goals, in the 2nd (penalty kick) and 28th minutes. Hakim Abdallah and Lenny Leonil completed the record score, with goals in the 78th and 87th minutes, respectively.

The win takes Swift Hesperange to 2nd place in the current standings, behind leaders Fola Esch, who won against F91 Dudelange 5-0 yesterday.

The third match of the evening saw Jeunesse Esch defeat Mondorf-les-Bains 3-2. Jeunesse Esch is currently 7th in the league standings.
