On Thursday 5 November 2026, Luxembourg men's national football team head coach Jeff Strasser announced his squad for the final two matches of the 2026/27 UEFA Nations League group stage at the Luxembourg Football Federation (FLF) headquarters in Mondercange.
The Red Lions will host Estonia at the Stade de Luxembourg on Friday 13 November 2026 at 20:45, before travelling to Reykjavik to face Iceland at Laugardalsvöllur on Monday 16 November 2026 at 18:00.
Jeff Strasser named 25 players, with Christopher Martins, Leandro Barreiro, Danel Sinani and Seid Korac among the notable absentees. Christopher Martins remains sidelined despite the head coach previously expressing hope that the midfielder would return for the November fixtures. Meanwhile, the squad includes Tim Hall, Eldin Dzogovic, Farid Ikene and Patrick Macedo, who were not in the original September selection.
The squad includes goalkeepers Lucas Fox (Bremer SV, Germany), Tim Kips (1. FC Phönix Lübeck, Germany), Anthony Moris (Al-Khaleej, Saudi Arabia) and Tiago Pereira (RAAL La Louvière, Belgium).
In defence, the selected players are Florian Bohnert (FC Hansa Rostock, Germany), Dirk Carlson (Dinamo Batumi, Georgia), Eldin Dzogovic (1. FC Magdeburg, Germany), Tim Hall (FC UNA Strassen, Luxembourg), Laurent Jans (SK Beveren, Belgium), Enes Mahmutovic (Dinamo Batumi, Georgia), Vahid Selimovic (Iberia 1999 Tbilisi, Georgia) and Eric Veiga (FC Atert Bissen, Luxembourg).
Midfield options include Tomás Cruz (Bodrum FK, Turkey), Enzo Dos Santos (Borussia Dortmund, Germany), Miguel Fernandes (Fortuna Düsseldorf, Germany), Farid Ikene (Racing FC Union Luxembourg), Mathias Olesen (Sønderjyske Fodbold, Denmark) and Sébastien Thill (FC Differdange 03, Luxembourg).
In attack, Jeff Strasser has selected Aiman Dardari (Rot-Weiss Essen, Germany), Hamza Kadamani (FC Metz, France), Patrick Macedo (FC Résidence Walferdange, Luxembourg), Omar Natami (FC UNA Strassen, Luxembourg), Timothé Rupil (Helsingborgs IF, Sweden), Vincent Thill (SV Waldhof Mannheim, Germany) and Jayson Videira (1. FSV Mainz 05, Germany).
Speaking about Christopher Martins, Jeff Strasser explained that the midfielder had not played for approximately three months and was still undergoing rehabilitation. Although surgery had been considered, his club opted for conservative treatment. The coach stressed the importance of allowing Christopher Martins to complete his recovery without risking another injury, expressing hope that he could return to the national team in March 2027.
The head coach also addressed the selection of Patrick Macedo, who has been among the leading goalscorers in Luxembourg's BGL Ligue this season. Jeff Strasser explained that the coaching staff had considered several players from the domestic championship, including Ken Schmitz and Dominik Stolz, before choosing Patrick Macedo. He said: "It is time to give a player the opportunity to express himself at another level."
Jeff Strasser also confirmed that Aiman Dardari and Jayson Videira had returned to training with their clubs following injuries, while Hamza Kadamani was physically available despite reduced playing time at FC Metz following a coaching change.
Discussing the squad's injury problems, the head coach stressed that the team remained competitive despite the absences and said: "We have confidence in all the players we have selected."
Luxembourg currently sit bottom of League C Group 4 with three points from four matches, one point behind third-placed Bulgaria. Estonia occupy second place with six points, while Iceland lead the group with eight points.
