Following Luxembourg's opening EUFA Nations League Group C1 match last Saturday when they recorded a 2-1 away win against Azerbaijan, the Red Devils hosted Montenegro on Tuesday at the Stade Josy Barthel in Luxembourg-ville.

The match was heading for a scoreless draw until, in the 4th minute of time added on at the end of the 90 minutes, Beciraj scored for the visitors from the penalty spot, shooting low into the bottom corner of the net despite goalkeeper Moris (who had fouled Hakšabanović, conceding the penalty) getting his fingers to the ball.

Luxembourg's Martins had received a second yellow card in the 84th minute and was sent off for diving in the box. He had also been booked in the first minute of the game. Jans, Selimovic, Carlson and Thill also picked up yellow cards, with just two awarded to the visitors.

Luc Holtz's side had missed a brilliant chance at the end of the first half and were superb after the break, but a red card and an added-time penalty meant they finished with nothing. The Red Devils had 61% of the possession and recorded a total of 21 shots on goal (7 on target), with the visitors only managing 10 (5 on target).

Luxembourg team:
1 Anthony Moris (GK)
