On Friday evening, Luxembourg's national football team played their third game in the new UEFA Nations League D Group 2, away to Belarus at the Dinamo Stadium in Minsk.

Anton Saroka scored two minutes before the break to put Belarus 1-0 ahead against Luxembourg. Despite Thill and Martins threatening for the visitors, Luxembourg could not find a way through and the final score remained at 1-0 for Belarus.

Belarus move to the top of the group on 7 points, leapfrogging Luxembourg who are second on 6 points.

Luxembourg next play San Marino at hone on Monday 15 October.
