The Advanced Training Center (ATC) in Windhof has announced a series of strength training events and competitions.
First on the agenda will be an intense "Yoga for Strength Training" workshop with Clair-Louise Walsh on 28 March 2019 at 19:00 at the ATC. LuxStrength yoga teacher Clair-Louise Walsh is back with a monthly schedule to show how to build muscle and get lean without lifting weights. The ATC, in cooperation with the Powerlifting Association Germany (PAG), will then hold an "ATC Powerlifting Full Meet - Beginners" session on 30 March 2019 at 10:00. This is aimed at beginners who have completed a maximum of two powerlifting competitions. The session focuses on raw powerlifting, so wrist bandages and knee and elbow pads are allowed. It is recommended to wear tight sports clothing. There will be no age or weight division. Participation is limited to 25 athletes. The first three men and women will receive prizes, whilst all participants will receive certificates. As summer approaches, the ATC is organising the event "Strong(WO)man BBQ & Beer", in partnership with Crossfit Bear Crawl, on 22 June 2019 at 11:30. This is the second edition of the Strong (WO)man workout competition. It will be an opportunity to test team spirit, personal limits and to challenge each other. While the workouts are all-level accessible, a minimum fitness level is required. This event is a fun-based, friendly competition and a collaboration between two gyms, so priority will be given to members of these gyms. The price is €50 per team of two and includes participation to the event as well as a drink and a sausage at the BBQ. Spots are limited to 15 teams. Spectators are also welcome.
