A new English-language web series produced in Luxembourg, “Ladybits”, is set to hit the screens on Thursday 2 December 2021, with the release of its first two episodes on Youtube.
Two episodes per week, each lasting around 2-4 minutes, showcase the daily challenges and philosophical insights that two young women, Jean and Clémentine, face today.
This Luxembourgish web series, written in English, is based on video calls between the two protagonists and comprises eight episodes.
"Ladybits" is written and directed by Gintare Parulyte, produced by Deal Productions and supported by the Oeuvre Nationale de Secours Grande-Duchesse Charlotte.
Gintare Parulyte is a Lithuanian-born actress, scriptwriter and director from Luxembourg, who entered the film industry at the age of 15 and who, after writing the novella "Fuck" and directing the short films “Is That, Like, Your Real Job”, “And He Said Yes!” and “Aftermath, Afterpath.” and the plays “A Lithualien in the Land of Bananas”, “Wie ein König” and “Lovefool”, is embarking on a new adventure with her project “Ladybits”.
The web series stars Leila Lallali and Eugénie Anselin as Jean and Clémentine.
