The Fonds national de soutien à la production audiovisuelle (National Support Fund for Audiovisual Production) has announced that three projects will initially be supported concernign new fictional television projects.
The Lëtzebuerger Fong Film (Film Fund Luxembourg) and RTL Lëtzebuerg have received a total of 20 applications following a call for applications that was launched on 22 December 2015 for concepts / fictional formats for development.
The jury, composed of representatives of Film Fund Luxembourg and RTL, welcomed the diversity of the projects submitted (genres and very different formats).
The jury decided to support three concepts, each being awarded €10,000 to be developed further, , i.e. in pre-production, namely:
- S.L.I.P. - Luxembourg Section of Paranormal Intervention, a fantastic comedy (6 episodes, each of 26 mins) created by Fred Neuen and Tim Lecomte for RADAR
- Am Bësch, a detective series (12 episodes, each of 25 mins) designed by Thierry Faber for Samsa Film
- Zemmer ze verlounen, a sitcom (12 episodes, each of 24 mins) proposed by a group of five young independent Luxembourg filmmakers, designed and supervised by Marco Serafini for Calah Movies
The decision on the project(s) to be / will be supported for the production phase will be taken after a further assessment by the end of September, 2016.
