On Sunday 22 February 2026, Neumünster Abbey’s (neimënster) young audience programme, minimënster, will host the 2026 edition of the Big Bang Festival in Luxembourg-Grund, from 11:00.

Created by Wouter van Looy and the Zonzo company, the Big Bang Festival takes place each year in nineteen cultural centres across Europe and Canada. The Zonzo company is known for creating innovative productions for young audiences, with music at the heart of its performances. For the duration of the event, the site will be transformed into a festive costume celebration and a vast space for discovery and play for children aged five and above.

The Big Bang Festival invites families to attend wearing masks and to celebrate in a carnival atmosphere inspired by cities such as Venice and Rio de Janeiro. Musicians, filmmakers and video artists will develop original and poetic worlds through interactive performances, visual concerts and sound installations.

These musical creations tour internationally and are recognised by both audiences and professionals for their pioneering and original character.

Tickets cost €15, €9 (reduced) or €1.50 with a Kulturpass.
