On Sunday 12 October 2025, Vianden hosted its traditional nut market (Veiner Nëssmoort), once again attracting a few thousand visitors to the small town.
Held each year on the second Sunday of October, the event draws crowds eager to buy walnuts and other nut-themed products, as well as to enjoy live music, food and drinks - including the ever-popular "Nëssdrepp", "Nëssliqueur" and "Nësscrème" alcoholic beverages.
The weather was cloudy but mild on Sunday morning as the market officially opened in the presence of the Mayor of Vianden, François Weyrich, the town's aldermen and Luxembourg's Minister for Culture and Minister Delegate for Tourism, Eric Thill.
The festivities continued throughout the day, with stands spread out across the cobbled streets of Vianden.
Shuttle buses connected the designated car parks with the town centre.
