The organisers of the Picadilly and e-Lake festivals in Luxembourg announced today the cancellation of their respective events this year due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.

In two respective statements, the organisers of Picadilly and e-Lake confirmed their joint decision to cancel this year's edition of both festivals for health and safety reasons. Together, the respective organisers determined that holding such large events in the current context would be "irresponisble", not least due to the continued uncertainty concerning how the situation will evolve in coming months.

Consequently, neither the triple anniversary edition (65th wine festival, 50th Picadilly and 60th Harmonie Municipale Esch concert) of the three-day Picadilly festival in Stadtbredimus, in the Moselle region of Luxembourg, nor the 25th edition of the e-Lake festival, a free music event held annually at Echternach lake, will be taking place this year. Both events had been scheduled, as every year, for the second weekend in August (7-9 August 2020).

The organisers of both events assured that they would celebrate their respective anniversaries next year, from 6-8 August 2021.
