From 26 July to 23 August 2019, the annual "Congés Annulés" festival will return to Luxembourg as part of the Rotondes' summer programme.

This summer, "Congés Annulés" will once again feature a jam-packed programme full of music, films, documentaries and musical aperitifs.

Among the highlights of this year's festival will be the Son Lux concert on 15 August. The American experimental trio will bring a cinematic touch to the soundtrack of the summer. Initially a solo project of the classically trained composer Ryan Lott, the members of Son Lux now put their eclectic influences together to better challenge the genres.

Electro music will also be well represented during the festival, notably by the French artist Chloé (2 July). At ease both in clubs around the world and on the Parisian stage of La Gaîté Lyrique, Chloé composes her pieces like a story and connects all styles with consistency.

Another evening, another style: the post-punk New York band Bodega will take the stage on 19 August. The group has no equal when it comes to drawing the absurd portrait of current society. Wherever they go, Bodega seduce with their energy on stage.

The next day, the atmosphere of the Klub will be quieter but not necessarily more peaceful. Australian Julia Jacklin (20 August) puts all her writing talent into indie folk songs that speak about modern life, love and disappointment.

Many other names will complete a rock-heavy programme, experimental music, DJ sets, local bands and musical documentaries. The full programme of this year's "Congés Annulés" is available on the Rotondes website: www.rotondes.lu. Passes and concert tickets are also available on this site.
