This summer, Neimënster will host the second edition of its “Bock op” festival starting in early June until July.

Named after the Luxembourgish expression “to fancy something” or “to be up for something”, Bock op replaced the OMNI (unidentified musical object) festival in 2018. The name “Bock op” also plays on the fact that the Abbey lies nested at the foot of the historic Bock rock on which the Grand Duchy’s first castle was built in 963 by Count Siegfried.

On the agenda for the 2019 Bock op festival, now in its second edition, will be outdoor concerts of all musical genres from Neneh Cherry, Anna Calvi, Alpha Blondy & The Solar System and the Luxembourg Wind Orchestra, to name a few, as well as exhibitions and artistic performances.
