On Tuesday 22 March 2022, the Luxembourg Government met with social partners and employers' representatives at Senningen Castle to discuss potential solutions to rising energy prices and inflation.
According to Luxembourg's Ministry of State, these initial talks, which took place in "a constructive atmosphere", provided an in-depth analysis of the complex situation related to inflationary pressure. The social partners (OGBL, LCGB, CGFP and UEL) shared their thoughts with the government ministers present.
Nevertheless, the tripartite discussions will continue on Wednesday 23 March 2022. According to the ministry, the aim of this second meeting is to formalise measures to limit the impact of inflationary pressure on households and businesses.
