On Tuesday 26 October 2021, Eurosolar Lëtzebuerg asbl held the 10th Luxembourg Solar Prize ceremony at the Chamber of Skilled Trades and Crafts.

The ceremony took place as a CovidCheck event, organised in collbaoration with the chamber as well as the Ordre des Architectes et des Ingénieurs-Conseils (OAI), the Fédération des Artisans, the Fédération du Génie Technique and myenergy.

This year, the Luxembourg solar prize was awarded to the following three projects: 

  • the Äerdschëff project of CELL (Centre for Ecological Learning Luxembourg);
  • the film “Eng Äerd” of the Centre National de l'Audiovisuel (CNA) in collaboration with CELL, produced by Tom Alesch;
  • the Streicher family's single-family house with solar panels integrated in the roof and battery system.

Four special mentions were awarded to the following projects:

  • EmpoweringMobility by Voyages Emile Weber;
  • Mobile High Power Charge by Sales-Lentz;
  • Photovoltaic installation on the carport of the House of Biohealth of Enerdeal SA;
  • Photovoltaic installation in the "Am Däich” car park of the municipal administration of the city of Ettelbruck, in collaboration with Jugendsolar and the Lycée Technique d'Ettelbrück.

Around 100 guests, including Luxembourg's Minister for Housing, Henri Kox, and the Minister for Energy, Claude Turmes, as well as MPs, actors in the field of renewable energies and construction, members of Eurosolar Lëtzebuerg asbl and this year's applicants, attended the ceremony.
