The Union Royale Belge - Belgische Koninklijke Vereniging (URB-BKV) has announced that it is organising a celebration of Belgium's National Day in Luxembourg at the Pavillon Am Brill in Mamer from 12:00 to 18:00 on Sunday 19 July 2026.

The annual event brings together Belgian residents in Luxembourg and their friends in a friendly atmosphere celebrating Belgian culture. Visitors will be able to enjoy Belgian specialities, including waffles and moules-frites, while a selection of Belgian and Luxembourg beers will highlight the friendship between the two neighbouring countries.

The programme includes musical entertainment, family activities, a photo booth, a raffle featuring prizes donated by Belgian and Luxembourg companies, and a visit from the Belgian Ambassador to Luxembourg, Charles Delogne.

The URB-BKV noted that the celebration is its largest annual event. The association, which will mark its 120th anniversary next year, represents Luxembourg's 26,000 Belgian residents and also maintains links with around 50,000 Belgian cross-border workers.

This year, the association has chosen to support Maxence, a teenager living with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Funds raised during the event will help his family purchase a mechanical arm designed to improve his independence.

The URB-BKV organises around ten cultural, economic, social and festive events each year with the support of its members, volunteers and partners.

Attendees are encouraged to wear black, yellow and red, the colours of the Belgian flag.

Free admission.
