The HelloFuture project, a roadshow dedicated to bringing the working world of the future to the students of today, was launched this week by Luxembourg’s government, industry group FEDIL, the Chamber of Commerce and Luxinnovation.
The roadshow aims to promote industry and technology by introducing four growing technology areas to students in 40 Luxembourg high schools over two years in the hope that some may be inspired towards a promising future career in the industrial world of tomorrow.
Composed of videos, presentations, original pieces designed and made in Luxembourg and other interactive tools, and accompanied by industry representatives from companies including CDCL, Paul Wurth, Husky, Cimalux, CEBI and Luxair.
"We are extremely proud of our members accompanying us during high school visits. We are pleased to see that they are supporting our efforts to meet the talents of the industry of tomorrow. The representatives of companies bring a lot to the students and allow them to discover the industrial world through the human. HelloFuture is a unique opportunity for students to interact with industrialists who are passionate about their profession. It is a very enriching exchange for both parties,” said Nicolas Buck, President of the FEDIL.
The roadshow presents four separate spaces, including History to provide a background to Luxembourg’s industry, Sectors, where students will discover more about manufacturing processes through direct contact with some of the manufacturers themselves, the Internship Exchange, designed to help students navigate the offers put online by employers, and an Exchange with Professionals which gives the students space to communicate directly with professionals, and put their questions to them.

“The partners are really striving to bring the spirit of Luxembourg's industry back to our lycées. I would also like to thank the high schools that open their doors to the HelloFuture Roadshow because I am convinced that it is a great opportunity for the students to discover Luxembourg industry and a non-negligible help in their professional orientation.”
