Luxembourg School of Business (LSB) has announced the launch of the first Master in Management in the Grand Duchy.

Having recently obtained the relevant accreditation, Luxembourg School of Business will launch its Master in Management from September 2020. The two-year programme is expected to welcome students from all around the world and registration is already open.

Marin Njavro, Managing Director at Luxembourg School of Business, commented: "We’re really happy with this accreditation. It reflects our school’s philosophy: to offer quality education in Luxembourg. This programme is the latest addition to our current offer which now covers a broad array of graduate-level business programmes. On the one hand, our Weekend MBA programme - which is now well established enrolling its sixth generation of students - is dedicated to ambitious professionals eager to find the right balance between work and continuing education, and on the other hand, the new Master in Management programme is a full-time 2-year experience designed for students seeking to kick off their global careers in Luxembourg".

Luxembourgish, as well as international students holding a bachelor’s degree, are eligible to join the programme, which was designed to help students acquire professional skills and find their way through the Luxembourg labor-market more easily.

Dr. Julie Felker, the Director of the Master in Management programme, added: "Students will benefit from an education that is in line with the needs of today’s fast-changing, increasingly digitised business environment. LSB’s ambition behind this programme is to create some of the most employable graduates in Europe".

Furthermore, the launch of this new Master will impact the local economy, with fifteen new faculty positions having been created to cover the needs of programme.

The accreditation granted by the Ministry of Research and Higher Education is the result of a year-long procedure. During this period, the Austrian agency, AQ Austria, was responsible for analysing whether the programme and the school meet high accreditation requirements. Programme content, student employability, quality of the teaching staff and of the facilities were all taken into consideration.

Marin Njavro concluded: “This accreditation is only the first step. We’re now aiming at obtaining AACSB’s international accreditation that will open new opportunities for LSB, and create the conditions to access international rankings”.
