On Saturday 22 March 2025 at 20:00, multi-functional venue Rotondes in Luxembourg-Bonnevoie will host a performance of the play We Come from Far, Far Away.

Produced by New International Encounter (NIE), an international theatre company which creates performances and projects through a mix of physical theatre, multiple languages, live music and storytelling with a European ensemble, We Come from Far, Far Away tells the story of two young boys from Aleppo who are travelling across Europe to Norway. Against the backdrop of a journey through Turkey, Greece, Macedonia and onwards to Oslo, they share stories of people, things and places they have seen, as well as tales about life and death.

Described by Rotondes as “combining live music, storytelling, clowning, shadow theatre and the symbolic presence of a Mongolian yurt, NIE crafts a deeply resonant narrative about seeking refuge”.

The production was Winner of the Hedda Award 2017 for “Best performance for young audiences in Norway”.

The performance will take place in English.

Tickets for the event cost €8 (ages 26 and under) and €14 (adult) and are available at: https://www.rotondes.lu/fr/agenda/we-come-from-far-far-away
