The second edition of the "Mierscher Theaterdeeg" (Mersch theatre days) will take place from Thursday 1 to Sunday 4 June 2023.

At the centre of this second edition are creative and committed women who have an impact on the theatre of today; they are writers, directors and actresses who use their words to deal with current issues.

Luxembourgish writer Nathalie Ronvaux will kick off this second edition with a discourse celebrating theatre at the Centre National de Littérature (CNL) in Mersch on Thursday 1 June 2023 at 19:30. Music and other "surprises" are on the agenda.

The Mierscher Theaterdeeg will continue with a reading of Larisa Faber's To My One And Only Daughter with actress Nora Zrika and live music by EDSUN at Mierscher Kulturhaus on Friday 2 June 2023 at 18:30. This English-language monologue was commissioned by MASKéNADA as part of the "Triptyphon" project (2021). Local actress, writer and director Larisa Faber will also present her English-language show stark bollock naked later that evening (20:00). Tickets cost €10/€20 (€1.50 with a Kulturpass).

Another reading, this time in collaboration with A:LL Association Littérature Luxembourgeoise, is scheduled to take place on Saturday 3 June 2023 from 16:00 to 18:00. Various writers will present their new pieces and offer insight into their writing process. Further details will be available from Thursday 1 June 2023 on the website www.kulturhaus.lu. A discussion, moderated by Anina Valle Thiele, is also on the programme for 3 June (at 18:30). This discussion will address the role played by women in front of, on and behind the stage, taking a closer look at feminism and sexism in the world of theatre.

That same evening (at 20:00), Lithuanian-Luxembourg filmmaker and actress Gintare Parulyte will present her English-language one-woman play Lovefool at Mierscher Kulturhaus. Tickets cost €10/€20 (€1.50 with a Kulturpass).

Following this (at 21:30 on 3 June), Luxembourgish actress and artist Fabienne Elaine Hollwege will present her album DAZWISCHEN frei as part of a live concert/reading. Saturday's programme will conclude with a DJ set ("Contrôle technique" by Luka Tonnar and John Wolter) at 22:45.

On Sunday 4 June 2023, the programme will start with a "Theater Matinee" (theatre morning), in collaboration with A:LL Association Littérature Luxembourgeoise, from 11:00 to 15:00. Writers will have another opportunity to present their work and offer insight into their writing process. Further details will be made available on the aforementioned website. Another performance of  Gintare Parulyte's Lovefool is then scheduled to take place at 16:00, followed by another concert/reading centred around Fabienne Elaine Hollwege's DAZWISCHEN frei at 17:30.

Readings and concerts are free of charge. Further details are available online at https://www.kulturhaus.lu/de/agenda/2-mierscher-theaterdeeg/5/eid,3053/2-mierscher-theaterdeeg.html.
