On Wednesday evening, the Loxalis restaurant in Dudelange celebrated its first anniversary with a Barbecue for invited guests.

Owner/chef Angelo Vaccaro, who hails from Sicily originally, opened Loxalis 12 months ago, following a career that has seen him work at only the best, including the De Jangeli in Mondorf, the Mercure at Kikuoka in Canach and the Sofitel in Kirchberg.

The menu at Loxalis features a range of dishes made from fresh, seasonal and organic ingredients, utilising local produce wherever possible.

The anniversary menu featured separate barbecue grills for salmon, beef and thuringer dishes, each garnished with their own herbs, with a choice of side salads and delicious desserts. The event also featured a 4-piece jazz band whose tunes reverberated through the warm evening air.

Loxalis is located in the extension of the building that housed the first Luxembourg Red Cross facility just over 100 years ago. It can be accessed from the main road (150 rue de la Libération) or through the park at the rear, a short walk from the nearby car park.
