Luxembourg choreographer Anne-Mareike Hess will present her new solo piece "Dreamer" at Neumünster Abbey (neimënster), where she is currently an associate artist, on Friday 17 and Satuday 18 December 2021 at 20:00 and on Sunday 19 December 2021 at 17:00.

In her new solo piece, Anne-Mareike Hess ventures beyond the border that separates the real from the imaginary and the feeling of fantasy. The second piece in an unofficial trilogy initiated by "Warrior" (2018), in which the artist already questioned the portrayal of masculinity, Dreamer is an exploration of female stereotypes.

The premiere of Dreamer was initiatlly scheduled to take place in December 2020. Postponed due to the COVID-19 health crisis, the creative process was interrupted for several months. Anne-Mareike Hess' initial research, carried out as part of her residencies at neimënster, focused on the representation of the female body in religious and medieval iconography, as well as on its attributes.

The premiere of Dreamer will take place in Salle Robert Krieps at neimënster on Friday 17 December at 20:00, followed by performances on Saturday 18 December at 20:00, which includes a meeting with Anne-Mareike Hess at the end of the show, and on Sunday 19 December at 17:00.

Dreamer is suitable for all audiences.

Tickets cost €22 (reduced: €9) or €1.50 with a Kulturpass and can be reserved via tel.: 262052-1 or via email: billetterie@neimenster.lu.
