TROIS C-L, the reference structure for contemporary dance in Luxembourg, has announced that it is organising a new online edition of 3 DU TROIS from Sunday 3 May 2020 at 19:00.

Following the success of the last online edition of 3 DU TROIS, attracted more than 800 views on the online videos of the shows, TROIS C-L is inviting the public to watch another three projects online from 3 May: "Clash" by Yuko Kominami, Daniele Ninarello and Stephan Herwig; "We Are We" by Jill Crovisier; and, exclusively, "What does not belong to us", one of Sarah Baltzinger‘s latest creations. Also on the agenda is an exhibition by Irina Gabiani, a Georgia-born visual artist who lives and works in Luxembourg.

Each artist will present his or her project in a few words with a short video, while sharing a few moments of his or her daily life in lockdown with spectators.

Clash is a meeting between three choreographers from different backgrounds, Yuko Kominami, Daniele Ninarello and Stephan Herwig, nominated by the directors of the choreographic centres involved in the project: TROIS C-L (Luxembourg), Mosaico Danza (Turin) and TanzTendenz (Munich). The three choreographers shared three spaces dedicated to creation during three residencies in each partner structure in order to work in creative synergy. The goals of the project were to promote artistic training and development through the sharing of different working methods, as well as a mobility in Europe by encouraging an artistic collaboration.  At the end of each residency, an open rehearsal or informal presentation was held to highlight the common creative journey and process, reinforcing teamwork and creative interaction. It is this specific performance, which took place on 3 June 2013 at TROIS C-L that spectators will have the opportunity to (re)discover online next month.

We Are We is an exploration work of the notion of power and its connection to identity in which Jill Crovisier is guided by the question of how to find the right balance between different forces. Involving a body language strong in expression, the choreographer is engaged in a search that juxtaposes various dynamics: those of the dance movements and those of daily life.

What does not belong to us by Sarah Baltzinger explores the idea of what we have to let go. In reuniting energies that can contradict each other, the purpose is the drawing and sculpture of our emotions, as a metaphor. It is a question of what’s left, despite ourselves, as an inheritance. Like a descent, this frenetic dance is like a prayer to silence. "What does not belong to us" is currently on tour, despite a few cancelled / postponed performance dates in light of the current situation. This proposal for a video broadcast is therefore an exclusivity.

The shows will be screened on Facebook and on the TROIS C-L website. The videos will be at the public's disposal for free, for private viewing only, from Sunday 3 May at 19:00 until Monday 4 May 2020 at 19:00.
