Sports Minister Romain Schneider has sent a telegram warmly congratulating Luxembourg’s cycling champion, Bob Jungels, for his performance at the start of the 2017 Tour d’Italia, which brought him to the top of the Giro's overall standings after the fourth stage that ended today on the heights of Mount Etna in Sicily.
In his telegram, Minister Schneider said, ”Bravo Bob, this is a new achievement that will be a milestone in the annals of Luxembourg cycling and which does honour to the whole of Luxembourg!
For you, already dressed in the famous pink tunic in 2016, the years continue and progress, and all Luxembourg is proud! My best wishes are with you, dear Bob, for your future life in pink on this 100th Giro d'Italia!"
