Luxembourg’s cycling team Leopard Pro Cycling has issued a public invitation to this season’s team unveiling on Saturday 19 March 2016 at ŠKODA Garage M. Losch in Bereldange (6 Cité Grand-Duc Jean, L-7233 Bereldange) at noon, which will also include an opening cycle ride.
The entire team will be present and those attending will be able to meet them and will get chance to join them on a cycle ride lasting approximately 90 minutes. A pasta bar will also be available afterwards.
The Luxembourg-based team was started in 2011 under the name of “Leopard-Trek Continental Team” and changed their name from “Leopard Development Team” to “Leopard Pro Cycling” in 2016. The team comprises young cyclists all under the age of 23. A close cooperation with the Luxembourgish Cycling Association is maintained in order to foster the development of Luxembourgish cyclists. The Leopard cycling project strives to support its riders both on and of the bicycle and therefore promotes the values of fair play, team spirit and tolerance.
The team is supported by experienced athletes and team director Markus Zingen, with Tom Flammang as sports director. The team used to be the talent factory (feeder team) of RadioShack Leopard Trek's World Tour team, which is now named TREK-Segafredo for this season thanks to new sponsorship. The team is established as a Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) team.
