From Thursday 14 to Sunday 17 May 2026, Luxembourg athlete Katrin Kohl (T54) competed at the “Weltklasse am See Arbon 2026” competitions in Arbon, Switzerland, recording several personal best performances in para athletics events.
According to the Luxembourg Paralympic Committee (LPC), the competition weekend against strong international opposition was “particularly promising” and marked by “several personal best performances”.
On Thursday, during the “Daniela Jutzeler Memorial”, held in rainy conditions, Katrin Kohl finished fourth in the 200m with a new personal best time of 35.56 seconds. Later the same day, she placed eleventh in the 100m with a time of 19.86 seconds.
On Saturday 16 May 2026, at the “52nd Swiss Championships 2026”, Katrin Kohl improved her personal best in the 200m once again, recording 35.36 seconds to finish seventh. In the 400m, she also set a new personal best of 65.34 seconds, significantly improving her previous mark of 68.37 seconds.
On Sunday, Katrin Kohl concluded the competition weekend with another 100m race, finishing fourteenth in 19.82 seconds.
According to LPC, the results confirm the Luxembourg athlete’s continued development at international level and also represent positive preparation for upcoming competitions later this season.
Katrin Kohl is next scheduled to compete at the World Para Athletics Grand Prix in Nottwil, Switzerland, taking place from Thursday 21 to Saturday 23 May 2026. She will be joined by Luxembourg athlete Ashish Ramsurrup (T46), who competes in a classification for athletes with upper limb impairments. According to LPC, Katrin Kohl is scheduled to compete in the 100m, 200m, 400m and 800m events, while Ashish Ramsurrup will take part in the 400m and 1,500m races.
