Luxembourg Curling in incollaboration with Luxembourg Paralympic Committee (LPC) announced the "Luxembourg Wheelchair Curling Days 2022" on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 February 2022 at the Patinoire Kockelscheuer ice rink.

In collaboration with experienced players and coaches from neighboring countries, the LPC and Curling Luxembourg welcome wheelchair users and anyone else on this occasion.

The LPC and Rehazenter also annouced "Curling is Cool Day" on Wednesday 23 February 2022, organised as an off ice introduction to curling and friendly competition for staff and patients of the centre using special floor curling equipment.

Marc Kiefer, sports director of the LPC, sees the promotion of the first Paralympic winter sport in Luxembourg with enthusiam: "Curling is an inclusive sport which allows the practice of sport for people with or without disabilities. With curling, we want to expand our sports offer for people with disabilities in Luxembourg and actively promote winter sports. Perhaps we can even form a team in the medium term, the mixed doubles discipline will indeed be on the program of the 2026 Paralympic Games for the first time".

Karen Wauters, responsible for cooperation on Curling Luxembourg side, said: "The cooperation with the Luxembourg Paralympic Committee offers a good platform to highlight the potential of the sport Curling Thanks to some adaptations of the rules, it allows everyone to practice the sport with a minimum of obstacles. Curling encourages interaction between the different sexes and connects the generations. Through appropriate days of action we hope attract as many people as possible to this sport and are particularly open to setting up an offer for people in wheelchairs".

The clubs of Luxembourg Curling have sessions every Sunday at 10:30 and Monday and Wednesday at 19:00 as well as special sessions for youth of age eleven to eighteen and any accompanying parent on Friday at 18:00. Private introductory sessions and team events are also available upon request.
